Lee Aberle, ND is a graduate of the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR and completed her internship at the Portland Naturopathic Cardiology Clinic. Prior to medical school, she worked at the University of Minnesota in surgical research. Her areas of emphasis include botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, resonance therapy, and lifestyle counseling to enhance health. Lee has been a Naturopathic Practitioner in Minnesota since 2001. She currently practices Naturopathic Medicine at Itasca Naturopathic Clinic in Park Rapids, MN and Stillpointe Natural Health Center in Sartell, MN.
Rachel Roberts Oppitz, ND, is the owner of Itasca Naturopathic Clinic. She received her bachelor of arts at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. She received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR. She completed a two year residency at Yellowstone Naturopathic Clinic in Billings, MT. Rachel specializes in environmental medicine, pediatrics, diabetes, women's health, cancer and autoimmune disease utilizing nutrition, homeopathy, hydrotherapy and functional medicine.
The practitioners at Itasca Naturopathic Clinic have earned degrees as Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine degrees and have undergone training similar to other doctors. Naturopathic medical colleges are four-year postgraduate schools with rigorous admission requirements comparable to other medical schools. NDs are trained in medical sciences, including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology, immunology, pharmacology, cardiology, neurology, radiology, minor surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, psychology, dermatology and clinical and physical diagnosis. Intensive courses in naturopathic therapeutics include: clinical nutrition, herbal/botanical medicine, homeopathy, lifestyle modification, hydrotherapy, bodywork and stress management.
